Colour Valid specialises in the accurate mesurement of colour. Its unique
AccuColour TM system analyses video images from printed web, to provide precise colour measurement on printing presses at full press speed throughout each run.A 'master' image is taken
from a new design on press on completion of colour matching, and then every few seconds AccuColour TM
analyses a fresh image from the print run. Any colour variation against the master is identified, with difference trends displayed for press operators. the special house colours associated with international brands, the complexion of faces, and the appearance of food products can all be monitored throughout the run. This is of particular benefit when printing continuous web, where previous technology restricted colour checks on reels (which could be up to 15,000 metres long) to the end of each reel, unless the press was stopped during production.
AccuColour TM
offers colour management through its precision on-press colour measurement. A process strength prediction module can help printers reduce scrap and speed up on-target colour matching, by measured adjustment to the process colours during change-over.
All measured data is automatically stored on file for later analysis, and a job history or Certificate of Conformance can be produced at the end of a production run. The master remains in the system,
ready for the next time the design is to be printed. |
